Bluebells Cancer Support Group

Bluebells is a friendly, sharing support group for anyone affected by cancer. We laugh a lot, cry a little, share experiences and support each other.

We meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 11am until 1pm, ending with a relaxation session.

Do come along to the Sanctuary one Thursday to see for yourself.

We also offer:

  • Use of the library
  • Counselling
  • Monthly talks on complementary therapies
  • Interesting talks on health
  • Meditation and relaxation sessions

“I came to Bluebells over five years ago and have found it a relaxing and welcoming place where I can just be myself, sharing my thoughts and feelings whether good or bad and learning from other people as we all talk about our cancer experiences. I have cried a little, laughed a lot and met a lot of people that I enjoy seeing time and again. The meditation is sometimes the only time of peace I get during the week and is very welcome. The shared knowledge in the room is sometimes overwhelming - we could create our own encyclopaedia on how to survive against the odds - and I enjoy both adding to it and learning from it. I would recommend the group to anyone living with cancer, whether newly diagnosed or an old hand at it all.”
