BURROWS LEA WELLNESS TALKS

Thursday 17th May 2018 - 2pm—4pm
There are many times when we feel we need the resilience and strength of a great red- wood tree - a hugely tall tree, but one which can withstand the storms of life without falling - but we actually feel more like a tiny, dry sapling, ready to snap in any moment.
Often we tighten up to 'hold ourselves together', but this only creates discomfort and fatigue.
Often we find we have to fight our thoughts, only to find them fighting back.
Often we have to give up on things we want to do and experience disappointment and a loss of confidence.
In this workshop we will look at situations and activities - which you will suggest on the day - and find practical and compassionate ways to access your inner resilience, your encouraging and supportive inner voice, and to discover ways in which you can keep going in a way which works for you.
Annie Davenport Turner (LSTAT, AAI) has been a teacher of the Alexander Technique for over 35 years and a facilitator of the Transformational Process since 2008. Her passion is to help people find ways in which to feel more at home with themselves, to be able to drop the self-judgements, and to enjoy a soft, strong, self-kind, and authentic way to be.
The talk is free but donations are much appreciated. Space is limited, so please contact Carolyn Low to reserve your place:
